"I used to babysit in exchange for the use of a horse - a half palamino/half work horse name Chumley. He was the least bred of all the horses at the stable, but the most obedient. I took him to a few competitions - jumping and dressage and even won ribbons - mostly yellow and white. Maybe a red somewhere along the way. I loved taking Chumley into the woods, and would look for logs to jump over. I got a bit of an eagle eye for finding deadfall that was perfect - no branches above to knock your head off with. Three in a row nicely spaced. No slippery moss on a rock on the other side..."

"I have always loved horses. When I was a kid I had tons of model horses. I loved riding horses though I was pretty scared of them because I was soooooo small. For my birthday a few years back we went riding on a horse trail and I loved it all. I just love feeding them apple. When those big, soft lips touch the palm of my hand I just want to cry. And it's true in the song, trucks are pollutants and horses just poo. You see? They are perfect." S.
