David O’Connor the coach for the Canadian Event Team and the President of the United States Equestrian Federation, and has overseen the consolidation of all horse organizations in the US under one governing body. He works closely with the FEI, which is the international governing body for all non-racing horse sports. He won the world renown Badminton competition in England, and has also earned an Olympic Medal of every color, including the first Eventing gold for the US in nearly a quarter of a century, in the individual competition in Sydney. He and wife Karen have ridden together on two US Olympic three-day teams, winning silver in 1996 and bronze in 2000 -- the first couple in Olympic history to earn two team medals.

hoofbeats! recently spoke to David O'Connor at the World Qualifier Competition at Wit's End, where he had designed the CCI three star cross country course.

Susan Stafford is the editor of HorsePower magazine and author of a brand new book called Pocket Pegasus. Last week we heard her reading from the story and gave away an autographed copy of the book -- this week we will hear more about her process as a writer.

Chester Weber’s name has become synonymous with Four-in-Hand driving throughout the world and 2008 has been a banner year --a successful summer campaign in Europe earned him an Individual Silver Medal in the Four-in-Hand World Driving Championships. Prior to competing in Europe, Chester had just won his sixth consecutive National Championship title (at the Budweiser Live Oak International combined driving competition in Ocala, Florida).
